Storm Clouds and Silver Linings: How Digital Technologies Have Helped Us Weather the COVID Pandemic is the theme for ISRII's 11th Scientific Meeting.

ISRII Conference Proceedings

We expedited reviews for authors who expressed interest in expanding their abstract submissions into a 3-10 page manuscript for peer-review and potential publication in Elsevier’s on-line journal Procedia Computer Science.

Publication of the on-line issue is expected to coincide with the opening of ISRII 11 in September. Therefore, we request invited authors submit their manuscripts for peer-review by June 1 using Elsevier’s template.

We will provide a final decision on inclusion in Procedia Computer Science by approximately July 15, before the close of Early Registration.

Submission Review

By early June we will notify all authors of acceptance decisions, and then whether their submission has been accepted as an oral or poster presentation and where on the program in early July.  Look for more details shortly.

Paper Topics (The submission deadline has passed)

We will highlight submissions that focus on our Conference theme in special sessions and throughout the program.  We also invite abstracts that address one or more of the following topics.

Submission Guidelines

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

  • Presenting author or chair contact details, affiliation, and email addresses.

  • Co-author/s, speaker or contributing panelist contact details, affiliations, and email addresses.

  • Affiliation details: department, institution, city, state (if relevant), and country.

1. Scientific abstracts should use this structured format:

Context
Methods
Intervention (if relevant)
Results
Conclusions
Implications

  • Abstracts may also include one image/figure or table (file types accepted: gif, png, tiff, tif, jpg, jpeg).

  • Abstract title – limited to 200 characters including spaces.

  • Abstract text – limited to 3,000 characters including spaces.

  • Please indicate whether you prefer an oral or poster presentation or have no preference if your paper is accepted.

2. Themed symposia sessions are 60-90 minutes in length. Proposals will include an overview abstract and 3-4 linked abstracts presented by 3-4 speakers (the chair may be one of the speakers).

  • The chair is responsible for submitting a brief description of the session (max. 2,000 characters) AND individual abstracts for each of the included speakers (max. 3,000 characters per abstract).

  • Individual abstracts must follow the scientific abstract guidelines (see above).

  • The chair will receive notification of the final Scientific Committee decision and will be responsible for sharing this information with the other session speakers.

3. Software/hardware demonstrations can be presented by 1-3 authors who will be provided table space and an internet connection to showcase their software or hardware innovation. 

  • Authors may include up to three images to facilitate the reviewers’ understanding of their project. Note, images will NOT be included in the Conference app or program (file types accepted: gif, png, tiff, tif, jpg, jpeg).

  • Text is limited to 2,000 characters including spaces.

Software/hardware demonstrations should use this structured format: Problem Addressed, Project to be Demonstrated, and Images.

4. Inaugural ISRII Conference Proceedings

We will invite selected authors who express an interest in expanding their abstract submissions into a 3-10 page manuscript for peer-review and potential publication in Elsevier’s on-line journal Procedia Computer Science at no additional charge or publication fee. This opportunity is open to all presenters at ISRII 11!

Publication of the on-line issue is expected to coincide with the opening of ISRII 11 in September. Therefore, we will expedite acceptance decisions for authors who express an interest in expanding their abstracts on a check-off box in the submission portal. We will notify these authors of acceptance decisions on May 1 or very shortly after, and request they submit their manuscripts for peer-review by June 1. We will provide a final decision on inclusion in Procedia Computer Science by approximately July 15 and before the close of Early Registration.
